Processing Denim

Before processing any old clothes into paper, you have to wash it about 10 times in a washing machine without soap, to remove all of the detergent that gets built up in them. Even then, the hollander still makes soap bubbles as it breaks down the fibers.
Then I cut it up finely with a rotary cutter, in a very unsafe manner that makes quilters cringe.
