Book Binding

Today I decided to use up some of the small hemp papers that I had lying around.
I made a book with almost 100 pages! The heftiest I've made so far.
I apologize for these iphone pictures.
When my camera returns from the repairman, this book will be available from my Etsy!

Seeded Postcards

I now have seeded postcards in three varieties. I have a bright yellow card with sunflower seeds, a magenta-purple card with wildflower seeds and the original grass green card with edible sprouting seeds.
I spent today printing the instructions on the back.
I tested out a sunflower card. Sprouts Great!
I think the embossment on the wildflower cards is great!

Mash Handmade!

My seed faces are now available for sale at Mash Handmade, this adorable handmade shop on Pennsylvania and 39th in Westport.

Here are some iphone pictures of them all packaged!
The instructions are printed on the inside of the label (which is my own paper)
and I hand-stitched them on.

Papermaking Workshop

I'm offering a little papermaking workshop for some family and friends who've been begging. It's going to be July 29, noon to 2, in my parents carport. Let me know if you'd like to come, and I'll send you the address!
Let's make some sheets!

I've been working part-time this summer for the Kansas City Art Institute's School of Continuing and Professional Studies. Quite a title, but I just assist teachers for week long, intensive art classes for kids ages 6-14. I also supervise lunch for those that choose to take both a morning and afternoon class. During the summer, they also host evening classes for adults. I was asked to teach a three session class about bookbinding and artist's sketchbooks.

They learned some bindings and made some interesting work.
Would you like to take some classes? Here!
